Milngavie (pronounced Mullguy for those unsure) to Fort William 95 miles

Any mislabellings are due to the 21 year gap..

The following sentence will appear in several of these blogs (why reinvent the wheel?).

Sadly the journal for this walk is missing, as are several others. Probably simply because my filing system is a mess and I had a computer crash some years back that destroyed a lot of data. Lesson learned.

The book we used for this walk was "West Highland Way" by Charlie Loram.

If I recall correctly, we drove to, and stayed with, our pal in Ballachulish. He then gave us a lift to Fort William, where we caught the train to Milngavie to begin our walk.

It may be worth pointing out that "The Devil's Staircase" is not nearly as bad as it sounds, though it does make you puff a bit.

Probably the most interesting place we stayed on our journey was The Drover's Inn complete with stuffed bear.
